ARTIST'S STATEMENT

My name is Tyeric Mitchell. I love to write and play video games. I have always loved creating stories that make people smile and get them immersed into a new world. By that same measure, I love how video games allow people to interact with stories and new worlds in ways that books and movies can't. This combination of joys ultimately led to my discovery of Tabletop Role-Playing Games. These games combine the storytelling aspect of writing and the interactivity of video games. I feel that this creates an experience that most other media can't.

In my work, I strive to focus on fun and enjoyment above all. I try my best to create a way for players to enjoy themselves without including any of my personal ideas into the work. I want my audience to be able to take what I make and do as they wish with it. If someone wishes to tell a specific story for themselves, then my game should give them the ability to do so. For my work I use OnlyOffice to write up my rules and features, then I use a Photoshop Alternative called Affinity to create the Playbooks. My focus is on creating easy to use PDF documents that can be printed or copied in a short amount of time.
